Thursday Afternoon Summer Horse Shows
at Stillmeadows Farm

  • Schooling open from 2:00-3:00. A second, 15-20 minute, schooling break will be held between Cross-Rails and 2’ as time permits. No warm up trips outside of open schooling times.
  • Casual attire. Collared shirt, breeches, tall boots or paddock boots/half chaps. No full chaps or tank tops (racerbacks, spaghetti straps, etc). Sleeveless collared shirts permitted. Approved helmet required.

  • Entries due Wednesday by 12:00pm. Entries received after this time will receive a $10 late fee
  • No Dogs!
  • $40/division, $15/individual class, $5 office fee
  • Six ribbons will be awarded in each class. A championship and reserve ribbon will be awarded in each division.
  • A horse or pony must have shown in at least one fences class to be eligible for the under saddle class of that division.
  • A negative Coggins test is required for all horses and ponies on the show grounds. ​
  • All exhibitors must wear an ASTM/SEI approved helmets at all times when mounted.
  • Junior riders must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • All owners and riders must sign a waiver of liability stating that Stillmeadows Farm will not be responsible for any accident loss or damage. An adult must sign for all juniors.
  • Show Manager reserves the right to refuse entry, to change the schedule, to combine classes and to change the judge at any time.


Division Specifications

Pre-Short Stirrup Equitation – Open to riders 10 & under. Demonstrate walk, trot, two-point position. No cross-entering of rider. Horse may cross enter as suitable

Beginner Equitation on the Flat – Open to Juniors and Amateurs all ages. Demonstrate walk, trot, two- point position, canter. To be judged on rider position and control. Rider may cross enter into Pleasure

Horse/Pony ONLY. Horse may cross enter as suitable

Cross-Rails Equitation – Open to Juniors and Amateurs all ages. Courses of 6-8 jumps. Judged on rider position and control. Trotting not penalized. Rider may cross enter into Equitation on the Flat and

Pleasure Horse/Pony ONLY (No cross-entering into Beginner Equitation on the Flat). Horse may cross enter as suitable

2’ Open Hunter – Open to all horse/pony/rider combinations, including professionals and adults on ponies. No oxers. Judged on horse or pony style and way of going. Simple lead changes not penalized.

2’ Jr/Am Equitation – One over fences trip. Open to Junior and Amateur riders on horses or ponies. No

oxers. Judged on rider position and control. Simple lead changes not penalized.

2’6 Open Hunter – Open to all horse/pony/rider combinations, including professionals and adults on ponies. Course will have oxers. Judged on horse or pony style and way of going. Simple lead changes not penalized.

2’6 Jr/Am Equitation – One over fences trip. Open to Junior and Amateur riders on horses or ponies. Course will have oxers. Judged on rider position and control. Simple lead changes not penalized.

3’ Open Hunter – Open to all horse/pony/rider combinations, including professionals and adults on ponies. Course will have oxers. Judged on horse or pony style and way of going. Simple lead changes not penalized.

Pleasure Hunter – Open to Juniors and Amateurs on horses or ponies. To be judged on manners, suitability, and way of going

**If entries warrant, hunter divisions may be split for Junior/Amateurs and Professionals. Additionally, if

entries warrant in any division we will create a Section A and Section B to allow multiple riders on the

same horse in the same division. For example, if you have two riders wanting to ride Sugar in Beginner

Equitation, and we have enough entries, we will split to allow Rider 1 to ride Sugar in Section A and

Rider 2 to ride Sugar in Section B.**
